Follow the steps below to build the command go to your spot slowly. Start so it is easy for the dog to understand, then gradually make it harder by adding other variables (duration, distance, and distractions).
1. choose your designated site (make sure it is a pleasant and comfortable place), attach a label to it ("Go To your Bed," "go to your food", etc.) and stick to it.2. stand with your dog approximately 1-2 metres from the chosen location. 4. Now gradually increasing the distance between where you and your dog stands and bed.Continue to practice "Go To your Bed", pointing, throw the treatment and then praise.
5. it is now time to change the job to deal with from a temptation to be a reward for the desired behavior. it goes like this-says "Go To your Bed" while pointing to the bed, but this time throwing not candy. Now, your dog will probably understand that your verbal command and point means you want her to go to their place; if she responds to command by going to her bed gives you then treat (reward behavior) and pours out her praise. If your dog doesn't "get it" go back one step by using the treatment as a lure.
6. continue to step 5 again and again; you can practices at any time throughout the day, it need not be individually set training. Also mix up the place where you are asking your dog to "Go To your Bed"; Say close to bed and then further away and eventually even from another room (don't move too fast but).
7. you can now add other elements to this command, one at a time you can add a distraction which having another person in the room bouncing a ball or bring your dogs food Bowl down then request the "Go To your Bed".
